Post jam release

Hello everyone.

Thanks to all of you that played our game, that’s our first jam and we were really excited to see the outcome of our hard work.

Now the jam has ended and our results have encouraged us to take it a little step further.

We worked on a small post-jam release of the game. It includes some bug fixes and a new WebGL build to give the possibility to more people to try it out (with different controls). Most of the issues were mainly related to the haste of the jam.

Some of the improvements are the following:

  • We added new sounds and fixed some issues regarding volume and repetition of the background music
  • Sometimes the player were not able to pick up the sushi pieces, this has been fixed
  • Added new UIs for the controls explanation right at the start of the game
  • Added credits in the settings menu
  • UIs now stretch accordingly to screen resolution
  • The games now really pauses itself (before the scene was still moving)
  • Added new feedback elements such as a trail for launch and scored points overlay
  • Lowered the time for sushi respawn
  • Lowered the overall playtime

Lots of the improvements came from the feedback of some users that promptly suggest us to do some changes, to them an even bigger thank you. Improvement is what we seek from this kind of competition, so all constructive criticism is welcomed.

Other feedbacks are planned and will change most of the gameplay, making it more fun and structure.

Another thing we were considering is doing a Play Store release, but first we really need your help sharing our game and letting us know again what do you think.

One last thank to all of the users that added the game in their collections or followed.

We hope to hear a lot of new feedbacks and have to do another release ;)

With love, sushi, pixels,

The elbows team.
